I will never forget the moment this photo was taken. I’ve always been a huge fan of Jared Padalecki and everything he’s done with Always Keep Fighting, and personally, the campaign gave me strength to pull myself out of a very dark place in my life and seek help for my depression. So in October of 2016 I got my first tattoo in commemoration that said “Keep fighting” in a scripted font. I wanted to show it off to him and let him know how much of an impact he has made on my life and on many others.
I was shaking when I went up and shook Jensen’s hand and congratulated him on the birth of his twins just a day before. He asked me how I was doing and I could not have been better in that moment. I looked at Jared then, shook his hand, and raised my arm to show him the tattoo on the inside of my upper arm. “I want to thank you for this,” I said, choking up slightly. “You have done so much for me.” Jared’s face changed from a smile, and he looked at me with this heartwarming expression that was equal parts sad that I had to go through something dark to be inspired to get that design, and proud that I was able to make it through to be standing there and that he played a part in it. He pulled me into the tightest, warmest hug ever, completely enveloping me in his arms, and Chris took the photo.
After the camera went off, he didn’t let go of me. He hugged me a little bit tighter, leaned down, and softly told me, “You rock,” before releasing. I left his side sobbing. Hearing that from someone I look up to that much was overwhelming and beautiful, and knowing that he genuinely cares still makes me tear up. He is truly an amazing person and I’m so blessed to have been able to share that moment with him.

Alrighty, so yesterday the nominees for this years People’s Choice Awards were announced and it looks like it’s going to be a tough competition this year, with two new nominees Andrew Lincoln and Tyler Posey pushing both Jared and Misha out, which was a shock, and only Jensen now as the sole surviving Supernatural actor, which I don’t think has ever happened before. This means however that we’ll need more votes than ever before, as we are now against four other fandoms, and no one is going to be suffering from a split vote (Paul Wesley was also pushed out leaving just Ian Somerhalder representing The Vampire Diaries).
“When we were watching Supernatural film last Thursday, Danneel pulled up next to Jensen and as she drove away, Jensen stuck his head out the window and yelled “Hey! Who was that!? She was hot!””
